Church Leadership
Voluntary positions is where most people get their first taste of leadership. In fact, some of the best leadership training is done by churches. The reason is that the successful congregation members will train the rest of the people on how to lead. When people develop, their leadership skills they, in turn, teach others. Many of the top leaders, in corporate American, received much of their training from going to church.
Church leadership starts at a young age. When some kids are just playing Nintendo or Football, some kids have leadership roles in their church. They go to meetings weekly and meet with seasoned successful adults. The children learn what leadership means and have a much better chance of success in adulthood.
Churches also have one huge advantage. They can take leaders from virtually all industries and call them to help the church. Who else can call the Ceos of many major corporations and get them to come help you? Churches have the unique ability to get successful people to action. The church leadership is legendary for creating leaders throughout the world.
